Health Care Assistant

I come from India where I have had quite a varied career, working as a fashion designer and also in a hospital as an assistant nurse. When I came to the UK I started work as a cashier in a supermarket but I am now happy at Ashton and back caring for people. I love the personal impact I can give to people, helping them to feel good about their personal care, from a shower to a shave it can make such a difference to help people feel better, even getting their nails look good makes a big change. Encouraging our residents to join in our community is also important to me, for some being here is quite a change so some gentle polite encouragement can really help.

This home has some vey good facilities both for residents and our staff they all add up to make it a special place. It’s a place I like to be in – and keep tidy!

In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband, three lovely daughters, son in law and grandson.
